How do I create an account?

Is there an application fee?
Yes. All applicants are required to submit a $50 non-refundable application fee.
Is there a registration process?
All applicants (including alumni) must register for an ACCEPTD account.
What are the application requirements
- FLHSI/MCMS applicants must submit two video recordings showcasing their current level of musicianship.
- FLHSI/MCMS applicants are required to submit two letters of recommendation. (Alumni are exempt from this requirement).
When will I be notified of my acceptance?
The review of applications is on a rolling basis. Once all materials are submitted including, the completed application, audio/video, recommendations, financial aid info as needed, and application fee your application is ready for review.
How do I make a payment on my account?
If you wish to make a payment you must first log into your Acceptd account. Once logged in your balance information will appear.
Are there specific details I should be aware of when making my travel arrangements?
Firstly, do not make travel arrangements until accepted to one of the Snow Pond Music Festival programs and notified by the Program Director to do so. However, for planning purposes there are several travel options available:
- • Personal transportation
- • Bus service via Boston or New York City. (Concord Coach). Shuttle service for a small fee will provide transportation to Snow Pond Center for the Arts.
- • Air travel via Portland International Jetport or Augusta Regional Airport. One may also travel via Logan International Airport, but must utilize bus service directly to the Augusta Transportation Center OR via Cape Air to fly to the Augusta Regional Airport.

Joshua Heaney is an award-winning saxophonist and music educator based in the greater area of Toledo, Ohio. He is regularly featured as a soloist, having most recently performed with the Susquehanna University Wind Ensemble Institute, Atlanta Chamber Collective, Atlanta Wind Project, Georgia State University Wind Ensemble, and Susquehanna University Orchestra. He has also performed as principal saxophonist with the Macon Symphony, Lima Symphony, Fort Wayne Philharmonic, and Eastern Music Festival orchestras. A staunch advocate for new music, Joshua has collaborated with composers John Luther Adams, Marilyn Shrude, Augusta Read Thomas, Marc Mellits, Michael Schelle, Evan Ziporyn, Viet Cuong, and many others. Additionally, he has been featured with Atlanta’s SoundNOW contemporary music festival, Bowling Green New Music Festival, ArtsX, WABE’s “Atlanta Music Scene,” Virginia Center for the Creative Arts’ “Composer Playlist”, and regularly performs at the EAR|EYE series at the Toledo Museum of Art. Joshua can also be heard performing Steve Reich’s “Reed Phase” on a recent commercial single and is producing his debut album with Duo Aurous.
Currently, Joshua Heaney serves as Adjunct Professor at Heidelberg University, where he teaches saxophone, clarinet, chamber music, and performs with the faculty wind quintet. Joshua holds degrees from Susquehanna University and Georgia State University and is completing the Doctorate (DMA) in Contemporary Music Performance at Bowling Green State University, where he also teaches saxophone and woodwind methods. His primary teachers include Gail B. Levinsky, Jan Baker, John Sampen, and Frederick L. Hemke.
Joshua Heaney is a Conn-Selmer Artist Clinician and performs on Selmer Paris saxophones exclusively.
